Peucetico
PRIMITIVO I.G.T. Puglia
It is the wine of a long productive tradition, able to fully express the typical fruitiness and freshness of Primitivo. Versatile and charming, it is named after the Peuceti, the native Apulian population settled in Bari province, dedicated to viticulture since before the Roman colonization.

Planting year: replanted in the 90s, where there already was a vineyard since the early 1900’s
Harvest: in the first half of September, family grapes picked in cases after an attentive bunches’ selection
Vinification: with an innovative technique that involves carbonic maceration for about 7-8 days, followed by malolactic fermentation in 100 hl Slavonian oak barrels
Annual production: about 50,000 bottles
Serving temperature: 18 – 20 °C
TASTING NOTES
Color: purplish red with orange shades
Nose: vinous, intense, and persistent, astonishing its rich fruitiness, mainly dark stone fruits
Palate: soft and harmonious, slightly velvety, with typical oaky flavors
Food pairing: perfect if paired with roasted meats, game, and spicy dishes
Cellaring: more than 10 years, if properly stored
